Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is a specialized course that emphasizes the importance of team dynamics and quality communication, a systematic approach to care and emergency care after spontaneous circulation. It also covers airway potency and pharmacotherapy. In this course, participants learn practical skills in both large and small groups, as well as at assessment stations, through the implementation of simulated thematic clinical scenarios.
ACLS is designed for health professionals who directly conduct or participate in resuscitation and / or provide care to patients with acute cardiovascular disease: staff of emergency and emergency care teams, intensive care units, cardiologists, neurologists, therapists, doctors branches, etc. The course will also be useful for interns and senior students of medical schools.
Course content:
- Basic life support measures: effective external cardiac massage, use of an Ambu bag with a mask, as well as an automatic external defibrillator (AED)
- Recognition and emergency care for respiratory and circulatory arrest
- Recognition and emergency care for conditions that lead to circulatory arrest
- Ensuring airway patency
- Acute coronary syndrome
- Acute cerebrovascular disorders
- Recognition and emergency care for threatening heart rhythm and conduction disorders
